Blue Print is not a shop pretending to be a room. It is a room that happens to be a shop. The juxtaposition of old and new is the editing principle: an eighteenth-century commode next to a clean modern lamp, a velvet sofa under a contemporary canvas.
The five partners shop the world for what fits, then arrange it so that nothing looks bought. The business has grown since 2010, into a gallery, an interiors practice, a showroom, and a furniture collection. The rule has stayed the same. Everything has to feel like it could stay.
The store sits behind a signature blue door on a leafy block of Uptown Dallas, in a converted house that still feels like a house. That, in a way, is the entire premise.
